PLAY Expo coming to Glasgow on June 11-12

PLAY Expo, is set to storm Scotland for the very first time next month with a spectacular two day event at Braehead Arena, Glasgow.

Presenting the perfect opportunity for veteran gamers and newcomers to unite for 48 hours of gaming fun, PLAY Expo will take place on the 11th and 12th of June and will be the first of its kind to come to Scotland.

Covering everything from retro arcade machines to Next Gen-gaming and board games, the event is designed as a celebration of Scottish gaming culture through the ages and is expected to attract more than 4000 people. Tickets are available now from the event website (‪playexpoglasgow.com) priced from £8.

Andy Brown, MD of Replay Events, and the organiser behind PLAY Expo, said: “We’re incredibly excited about PLAY Expo coming to Scotland for the very first time. Scotland is a hotbed of gaming talent and the community has continued to thrive in recent years, so it was a natural decision for us to head north of the border.

“We have already had huge interest in the event and are anticipating a full house over the two days. We look forward to welcoming everyone to PLAY Expo Glasgow, whether you’re a hardcore gamer or simply looking to dip your toe for the very first time – it really is a great day out for everyone.”

The event, designed for both children and adults, will also boast an Indie Zone curated by Edinburgh gaming outfit We Throw Switches, a Cosplay stage and a number of nail-biting game tournaments, brought to you by local communities Versus Scotland and Geek Retreat.

Tickets for PLAY Expo Glasgow are available now priced from £8 (child) & £13 (adult).
